a home across from home
as we walked home from an interview with the landlord of a potential new home in echo park, I heard the lonely cry of a beautiful black cat approching me from my left. Just as i tried walking away i heard her itty bitty kitty cries follow right behind me. i stopped and she hurried towards me. i continued to walk and she followed. … and for a quarter mile, that is how we coexisted on our quest for a good home on planet Earth. friends and heroes are packing up and moving and one of these days i’ll be left with nothing but memories and old time.
